Greg Carlson, Co-Founder, Educator/Press/Filmmaker

Greg Carlson is a professor in the Communication Studies and Theatre Art department at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, where he currently serves as the director of the multimedia journalism and film studies programs. As a Fargo native, Carlson has built a following as the Film Editor of High Plains Reader, the leading independent news, arts, and entertainment outlet for the Fargo metro.

As a film professor, Carlson facilitates an annual trip to the Sundance Film Festival for eager and promising students. He also shares his thoughts on the latest film releases on his own digital outlet, Southpaw Filmworks.

An accomplished filmmaker, Carlson is a four-time finalist in the Fusion/International Documentary Challenge and has produced and directed films that have screened at Slamdance, Hot Docs, Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, Minneapolis-St. Paul International Film Festival, South Dakota Film Festival, Free Range Film Festival, Orlando Film Festival, Honolulu International Film Festival, and many others.
