North Dakota Cinemas
With over 120 silver screens in operation across the state, nearly every North Dakotan, in rural and urban areas, has the opportunity to see the latest Hollywood masterpieces, arthouse indies, and locally produced films. In fact, North Dakota is home to the Scenic Theatre (in Lisbon, ND) the longest continuously-operating cinema in the United States. The Grand 22 in Bismarck is currently the largest cinema in the state, offering film classics and new releases during its weekly programming on its 22 film screens. The Fargo Theatre, located on Broadway in Downtown Fargo, is the most famous of the state’s still-operating classic cinemas, partly thanks to its famous neon marquee, one of the most photographed landmarks in the state.
