Katie Beedy, NDFS member and Senior Content Strategist at Tellwell Story Co., has been named a nominee for the 50th annual YWCA Women of the Year Award. The award, given by the YMCA of Cass Clay, shines a spotlight on an exceptional woman in the Fargo-Moorhead community. Beedy is nominated alongside 40 other women, including Dr. Anne Blackhurst, president of Minnesota State University Moorhead, and noted artist Marjorie Schlossman.

Beedy is a graduate of Concordia College and an integral part of the award-winning team at Tellwell. In her spare time, she volunteers as a core team member of Plants for Patients.

This year’s Women of the Year event takes place April 24, where 13 awards will be announced in categories including Arts & Culture, Advocating for Equality and Young Woman of Today & Tomorrow. Tickets go on sale March first at this link.
