Possessor

Directed by Brandon Cronenberg (son of David), “Possessor” is a science fiction horror film that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival early this year. The film stars Andrea Riseborough as a corporate agent who uses brain-implant technology to inhabit other people’s bodies.

Cronenberg also wrote the film’s screenplay.

Critics have offered the film top marks for its inventiveness and Cronenberg’s provocative vision. Many equated his style to that of his father’s.

Now playing in Bismarck and Grand Forks.

Save Yourselves

Sunita Mani and John Paul Reynolds star in the comedy “Save Yourselves” about a Brooklyn couple who decide to disconnect by ditching their phones for a weekend in a cabin and wind up missing news of an alien attack.

The film played at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, where Bleecker Street acquired the distribution rights.

Now playing in Bismarck and Grand Forks.

The Boys in the Band

Ryan Murphy presents the latest adaptation of the hit Broadway play “The Boys in the Band", starring the Broadway revival’s cast. The film is just one of many Murphy has in the works for Netflix as part of his $300 million development deal.

Joe Mantello directs the adaptation.

Critics have been mixed-to-positive with many saying it captures the same energy of the 1970s-era film adaptation. Reviews also highlight the cast’s performances.

Now streaming on Netflix.
