Sean Volk, Programmer/Exhibitor
Sean Volk is a film programmer and arts advocate. He programs for two Academy Award-qualifying film festivals: Mountainfilm and the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival. Sean serves as the Narrative Feature Programmer at the Woods Hole Film Festival. Previously, he worked as the Development and Engagement Manager at the Fargo Theatre and the Programming Coordinator for the Fargo Film Festival. He has also programmed for the Nashville Film Festival and he has screened for AFI Docs, AFI Fest, the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival, the Calgary International Film Festival, and the Port Townsend Film Festival. Sean received his MA in Film Studies from Western University in London, Ontario in 2015; his scholarship explored representations of monstrosity in the films of Guillermo del Toro. He completed his undergraduate studies in Philosophy, Communication, and Spanish at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.
