The Fargo Theatre Announces Reopening Plans

The Fargo Theatre announced today its plans to reopen the historic cinema on May 1, 2021, after being closed for over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In its web information release, the Theatre shared that performances by the FM Ballet and Messiah Dance in addition to film screenings and private event rentals will be hosted at the Theatre throughout the month of May. Films to be screened have yet to be announced. The first event to take place will be a performance by FM Ballet of The Copeland Dance Concert featuring Quilters on May 1 at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. and May 2 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here.
The Theatre also announced health and safety plans for the reopening, which include requiring guests to wear masks and the introduction of reserved seating to accommodate physical distancing and lower audience capacity. Additional health and safety information will be announced over the next few weeks.

Built in 1926 as a cinema and vaudeville theatre, The Fargo Theatre now serves as North Dakota’s esteemed arthouse cinema featuring independent and international films. The Theatre also serves as Downtown Fargo’s prime venue for concerts and other live events. The Fargo Theatre is listed on the National Register of Historical Places.
