Tom Brandau’s Final Film to Premiere at Fargo Theatre

Tom Brandau is a Fargo legend in the film community. After passing away in early 2021, his wife and artistic partner, Janet Brandau, set out to lead a dedicated team of collaborators to complete the post-production process on his final film, “Sadie Breaks the Silents.”
Filmed in 2016, the film was a labor of love for Brandau and the Fargo film community is excited to see his vision grace the silver screen once again.
About the film: When the director is drunk and a producer demands results, the gutsy scenario writer on a 1920's silent movie shoot is determined to start and finish the film, even when faced with pushback from her cast and crew.
Join Janet and the film’s team for a celebration of Tom Brandau and the premiere of “Sadie Breaks the Silents” on Saturday, September 11.
