ANOTHER ROUND
A promo trailer for “Another Round”, also known as “Druk”, was released by Screen Daily this week. It features four teachers that decide to perform an experiment that involves consuming alcohol “during work hours” to see how it impacts their lives. There’s no drinking after 8 p.m. or on the weekends, resulting in the men filling their coffee tumblers with booze as they teach. As you can expect, the experiment seems to be going well in the beginning, but then it starts to spiral out of control as the teachers decide to consume more and more. This Cannes 2020 selection stars Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Bo Larsen, Lars Ranthe, Magnus Millang and Maria Bonnevie. “Another Round” will open in Denmark sometime in September, but has no official release date in the U.S. yet. Until then, raise a glass and wait patiently.

MR. TOPAZE (RESTORATION)
Film Movement has announced their digital restoration of Peter Sellers’ comedy “Mr. Topaze” (1961) by releasing a trailer for the classic. Sellers directs the British film and stars as Mr. Topaze. Topaze is a teacher with high moral standards, but those don’t last when money and a new position come into play. The rest of the incredible cast includes Herbert Lom, Nadia Gray, Leo McKern, Billie Whitelaw and Michael Gough. The restoration was made possible by prints that were saved by the BFI National Archive. Viewers will be able to see this “lost” classic in virtual cinemas starting June 12th.

YUMMY
No bodily fluids were spared in the trailer for the horror comedy “Yummy” released by Shudder this week. The trailer is set in an unsavory, Eastern European hospital where individuals can go to get discounted plastic surgery operations. There is a wing of the hospital that is completely abandoned which makes it a perfect place for the characters in the movie to explore. A virus is unleashed on those in the hospital when a woman turned zombie is discovered. This is when all hell breaks loose as you can see in the trailer. It stars Maaike Neuville, Bart Hollanders, Clara Cleymans, Benjamin Ramon, Eric Godon and Annick Christiaens. Get your fill of “facelifts, boob jobs and zombies” when this is released later this month on the streaming service Shudder.
