NEVER RARELY SOMETIMES ALWAYS

The second trailer for Eliza Hittman’s “Never Rarely Sometimes Always” debuted this week from Focus Features. The film has been given a lot of praise after winning awards at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and the Berlin Film Festival. It’s the story of two cousins who live in Pennsylvania. When one of them gets pregnant unexpectedly, they quickly find out that their state’s support for a woman’s right to choose is nonexistent. Autumn and Skylar then have to travel to New York in order for Autumn to get an abortion. The cast includes Sidney Flanigan, Talia Ryder, Théodore Pellerin, Ryan Eggold and Sharon Van Etten (whose song “Seventeen” perfectly fits the trailer). This impactful film is set for a limited release starting on March 13th.

THE OTHER LAMB

IFC Midnight dropped a trailer for their film “The Other Lamb” this week and it looks like it could be your next cult obsession. The Shepherd, played by Michiel Huisman, is the leader of a cult comprised only of women. Raffey Cassidy plays Selah, a girl who was born in the cult and whose doubt for her group and their leader grows with her maturation. The women and their savior live disconnected from everyone and everything in the middle of a desolate woods. The Shepherd has a hold over his followers’ minds much like many infamous cult leaders in history. The movie also stars Denise Gough, Kelly Campbell, Eve Connolly and Isabelle Connolly. “The Other Lamb” is released in theaters and VOD on April 3rd.

SEVEN STAGES TO ACHIEVE ETERNAL BLISS

The official trailer for the comedy “Seven Stages To Achieve Eternal Bliss” was released by MarVista Entertainment this week. Sam Huntington and Kate Micucci star as Paul and Claire, a happy-go-lucky couple who just moved into their new and extremely affordable apartment together. However, the couple soon finds out that with low rent comes insane consequences. The former tenant was a cult leader who died in their bathtub. Even stranger, followers of his continue to break into the apartment and kill themselves in the same bathtub. The indie stars Dan Harmon, Mark McKinney, Rhea Seehorn and Taika Waititi as the cult leader Reginald Storsh. Draw a bath and get comfortable for this potentially hilarious movie being released on March 6th in theaters and March 17th on VOD.
